    NFA series

    Flexible and intuitive user interface:
The user interface on the newly launched NFA series noise figure analyzer is both intuitive and easy to use. The keys used are sorted and arranged in order and function, making it easy to find. The number of layers of dedicated functions is reduced as much as possible, and a clear visual indication of the current state of the instrument is provided on the screen.

    Simple measurement setup:
Nowadays, the NFA series noise figure analyzer manages to replace the complicated measurement setup with its simple but inspiring menu. The built-in help button can provide key functions and remote programming commands, so there is no need to carry an operation manual when taking measurements.

    Low instrument uncertainty:
When making noise figure measurements, a key parameter that should be known is the uncertainty of the measurement. The NFA series noise figure testers have low instrument uncertainty, which helps manufacturers make accurate and repeatable measurements on components. In addition, in order to help users specify the technical indicators of their components and systems, Agilent has also produced a web-based uncertainty calculator that can provide users with information on how to improve their measurement indicators and classify them more accurately. Improve the efficiency of batch measurement
In a manufacturing environment, rapid measurement and repeatability are decisive factors. At present, the NFA series noise figure analyzer has many characteristics that can shorten the measurement time and improve the batch measurement efficiency. The frequency list function enables you to select some special frequency points within the entire measurement frequency interval during which you are measuring. The scanning averaging function can update the screen in real time with the adjustment of the performance of the DUT during scanning. These two functions and the limit line function for quick and convenient pass/fail test and the addition of calling the overall calibrated instrument status The functions can improve the efficiency of batch measurement.

    Better connectivity:
The built-in floppy disk drive, GPIB, RS232 serial port and printer port connector allow fast and convenient data transfer between the analyzer and a PC or workstation. In addition, there is a built-in VGA connector for connecting a large-screen monitor.

    Color graphics display:
In order to improve the practicability, the newly introduced noise figure analyzer is equipped with an integrated 17cm full-color LCD display for simultaneously observing the changes in noise figure and gain with frequency. There are three different formats for observation and measurement, two independent channels or combined graph formats, a list format, and a point frequency noise figure and gain measurement‘table‘ format.

    Facilitate automation:
The NFA series noise figure analyzer includes 2 industry standard GPIB ports and 1 RS232 serial port to help automate the control of the instrument. The second GPIB port is dedicated to controlling the local oscillator. The default control language is SCFI, but the user can also define special local oscillator commands.

    Easy to build:
In order to help integrate the new analyzer into the manufacturing environment, Agilent has developed a programmer‘s reference manual, which contains a demonstration program for smoothly integrating the analyzer into the new system. The NFA series noise figure analyzer is neither compatible with the 8970B code. , Nor can it control the 8971C.

Main technical indicators of NFA series

Unless otherwise specified, all indicators are applicable to the range of 0°C to +5°C. The analyzer is in the operating temperature range for 2 hours, powered on for 50 minutes and adjusted, and then it meets its technical indicators. Before correct measurement, User calibration is required.
